My name is Flo (she/her) and I am a LGBT massage therapist.
In 2015 I achieved a level 3 diploma in Holistic Massage, since then I have completed certificates in Chair Massage, Deep Tissue Massage and I am currently working towards a masters in Osteopathy.
My aim is to provide truly holistic massage to LGBT people which not only acknowledges the roles that mind, body and spirit play in our health but also wider societal power structures. Touch, relaxation and healthcare are things which we LGBTQ+ folk often have complex relationships with or inconsistent access to. My practice aims to overcome some of those barriers by tailoring treatments to the specific needs of LGBT people.
My practice has always been explicitly Trans friendly. I am grateful for all the feedback and wisdom I have received from my trans clients, friends and general community which has helped to expand my knowledge and services.
I have always charged on a sliding scale in order to challenge the economic barriers to Holistic Therapies.
Many people I treat have never had a massage before or are nervous and don't know what to expect. That's fine!
Here is basic run down of what to expect in an average appointment with me :
Five minutes before the hour is up I will leave the room to allow you to get dressed.
Once you are dressed I will come back in for a brief chat to see how you are feeling and to give you aftercare advice.
Then you pay me directly (rather than the main till) and the appointment is over!
You can also email email@example.com to book, or to contact me with any questions.
A massage appointment lasts an hour.
Each appointment is priced by a "sliding scale".
£25 - £60
It's totally up to you to decide what you would like to pay within that scale and there's no need to tell me until the end of the appointment.
People who can afford to pay the top end of the scale make it possible for people on a lower income to access treatment.
Please never apologise for what you pay me, all of my clients are as equally entitled to massage therapy as each other.
